MEMBER GROUPS

Workers Make Possible stands in firm solidarity with the Alliance Against Death Penalty (AADP). Their fight for humanity is our fight for the working class. It is a fight against state violence, for economic justice, and for a system that addresses the root causes of crime—poverty and exploitation—instead of brutally eliminating its most vulnerable victims. We must choose justice over vengeance, and address root causes instead of symptoms.

At Students for a Fossil Free Future (S4F), we see the struggle for climate justice and the fight to abolish the death penalty as deeply connected.
Both movements challenge systems that deem certain lives disposable, whether through state-sanctioned violence or corporate destruction of our planet.
We stand in solidarity with AADP to dismantle these structures of oppression and build a world rooted in care, sustainability, and justice for all.

NTU Financial Aid Friends calls for an immediate moratorium on the death penalty. Most on death row come from working-class backgrounds similar to our members and fellow students: facing housing insecurity, working multiple jobs to support themselves and their families, and struggling to complete their education. We believe that they deserve a second chance, along with the support and opportunities they have been denied, rather than having their lives taken away.

SG Riders is a vibrant community of passionate delivery riders in Singapore, dedicated to promoting respect, equality, and community support. We strive to create a safe working environment for all riders in Singapore and call for an end to state violence, including the death penalty.

IndigNation stands with the Alliance Against the Death Penalty because state violence has no place in a just society. The death penalty targets the most marginalised, including queer communities, and must end.

For The Children SG has chosen to join the Alliance Against The Death Penalty because our core mission is to champion the rights and well-being of children whose parents have been incarcerated or are facing the death penalty. We have witnessed firsthand the profound and often devastating impact that the death penalty has on these children. By joining this alliance, we aim to amplify our efforts to protect these vulnerable children by addressing one of the root causes of their suffering – the death penalty itself. We believe that no child should have to endure the trauma and stigma associated with having a parent on death row or executed. Our participation in this alliance is a natural extension of our commitment to securing a more compassionate and just society for all children.

We Support Us (WSU) is a network in support of low-income residents that lack social safety nets. Poverty, job insecurity and poor healthcare policies are conditions that bridge to exploitation and desperation. WSU calls for the end to violence of individuals with uncontrollable circumstances.

As makers, we understand that making, trying, learning, and failing are part of the journey. Living life itself is a journey. Everybody deserves a second chance.

Students for Palestine stands against the imperial violence against the people of Palestine and across the world manifesting in decades of invasion, displacement, and genocide. The death penalty in Singapore is also a colonial legacy by the British who invaded Malaya to extract from our land and people, putting in place laws and punishment like such to control the masses. Especially as Israel imports drug-laced drugs into Gaza and expands its use of the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners, it becomes ever clearer that the death penalty and the genocide are interconnected actions of carceral institutions that make lives dispensable in the name of others’ protection. We organize in the hopes of abolishing state violence against the working class in all its forms, and oppose the use of the death penalty and the likes of it in Singapore and across the world.
We strive to support families and those in the community affected by the death penalty (directly or indirectly) through the arts.

As healthcare workers, we have a commitment to and deep belief in the value of every human life. We also believe that health related issues, like substance use, should be treated as health issues and not moral ones. Therefore, we stand with AADP’s work to preserve life and uplift marginalized communities
