The timing is uncanny: Koki (@learningfromthemargins) from TJC stands trial for defying a POFMA order the very same week we mark World Day Against the Death Penalty 2026.
The same state that weaponises the law to silence us is the same state that murders people from the poorest segments of society, and punishes those who mourn them.
That’s why we need YOU 🫵 to show up with us from 7-10 October.
Here’s what’s coming up:
1️⃣ 7–9 October, 6-8pm: Picnic Against POFMA @ Hong Lim Park
Attend Koki’s trial in solidarity, then meet us at Hong Lim Park each evening for food, music, and a conversation about how POFMA is eroding our freedom of expression, assembly and information—and what we can do about it.
2️⃣ 10 October, 3-5pm: Vigil @ Filmhouse
Join us for Unlearning the Death Penalty: Ending the War on the Poor, an indoor candlelight vigil to commemorate World Day Against the Death Penalty, and to protest against the state prosecuting activists for holding vigils and other acts of mourning. Expect speeches, memorials, and tributes to the prisoners who’ve fought this fight from behind bars.
